Flow switches are used to monitor flow of liquid or gas in a pipe. \r
How well the flow switch works depends on the quality of the flow switch and selecting of the proper model for the application.\r

It can be supplies in various materials; acrylic, polypropylene, pvdf, brass and stainlesssteal. \r

In this video we’ll review various models of our quality flow switches, their key features and common applications. \r

The LPH Series is one of the non adjustable flow monitor models. It monitor flows of corrosive and non corrosive liquids and gases.\r
\r
Operation\r
When fluid flows through the unit it causes the magnetic piston to move up at the calibration point. This displacement is caused by the pressure differential from the fluid flowing through the unit. The magnetic piston actuates a hermetically sealed reed switch, which is encapsulated in the body of the unit, out of the fluid path. Decreasing the flow below the calibration point causes the reed switch to deactuate.\r

Operation\r
As flow is established upward through the unit and continues to increase, the pressure differential across the magnetic piston increases until it overcomes the magnetic piston’s resistance (mass). This force causes it to progress fully upward to actuate the dry reed switch. This is a snap action and occurs in the decreasing mode as well\r

The FAV Series is part of our adjustable flow monitor models, suitable for monitoring higher flows of gases and liquids where the normal flow to set point is in a ratio of 10 to 1 or greater.\r

Operation\r
When flow is increased, the magnetic piston is forced against a\r
bias spring. As the magnet comes near the adjustable read switch\r
it actuates, indicating proper flow. When flow decreases the spring\r
forces the piston in the opposite direction deactuating the reed\r
switch and indicating a reduced or no flow situation\r

The 125 Series is part of our standard unobtrusive adjustable flow monitor models of corrosive and non corrosive liquids and gases. It’s suitable for applications where the normal flow is in a ratio of 10 to 1 or greater with minimal pressure drop.\r

Operation\r
A magnetic piston is suspended by the repulsion of a fixed magnet. When fluid flows through the unit it causes the magnetic piston to move against the repulsion of the fixed magnet. The magnet piston actuates an encapsulated hermeticallysealed reed switch out of the fluid path. Decreasing the flow below the calibration point causes the reed switch to deactuate. Set point is adjustable.\r
