รศ.ดร.ธำรงศักดิ์ เพชรเลิศอนันต์ : ครบรอบ 7 ปีรัฐประหาร 2557 วงจรอุบาทว์ของการรัฐประหารในไทย
7 ปีหลังการรัฐประหารครั้งล่าสุดของประเทศไทย เรายังมีรัฐบาลคล้ายกับสมัยที่ คสช. ยึดอำนาจจากการรัฐประหาร เรามีวุฒิสภาที่มาจากการแต่งตั้งโดยพลเอก ประยุทธ์ จันทร์โอชา และมีอำนาจในการเลือกพลเอก ประยุทธ์กลับมาเป็นนายกรัฐมนตรีอีกครั้ง
รัฐธรรมนูญ พ.ศ. 2560 กับกลไกที่ยับยั้งและสร้างสภาวะเงื่อนตายให้แก่การแก้ไขข้อกฏหมายต่างๆ ที่ไม่ยึดโยงกับประชาชน ยังไม่รวมไปทั้งแผนยุทธศาสตร์ 20 ปีที่แช่แข็งอนาคตประเทศไว้แล้วล่วงหน้า
ทั้งหมดนี้คือมรดกของการรัฐประหารเมื่อ 22 พฤษภาคม 2557 ที่ส่งผลกระทบกับชีวิตของราษฎรทั้งประเทศ และยิ่งเห็นชัดว่ามรดกรัฐประหารที่ไม่ได้มาจากประชาชนนี้ แก้ไขวิกฤตไวรัสโควิด19 ได้ย่ำแย่ เศรษฐกิจปากท้องของประชาชนที่ซบเซา หนี้ครัวเรือนที่สูงขึ้น อัตราคนจนที่เพิ่มมากเป็นทวี และติดอันดับ 1 ประเทศที่มีความเหลื่อมล้ำสูงที่สุดในโลก

รัฐประหาร 19 ก.ย. 2549 กองทัพที่นำโดย พล.อ.สนธิ บุญยรัตกลิน ยึดอำนาจ รัฐบาลรักษาการของ พ.ต.ท.ทักษิณ ชินวัตร ขณะเดินทางไปประชุมสหประชาชาติ ที่นิวยอร์ก
หน้าฉากถูกอธิบายว่า เพื่อให้เกิดความสงบ ป้องกันไม่ให้มวลชนทั้ง 2 ฝ่าย คือ พันธมิตรประชาชนเพื่อประชาธิปไตย กับ ฝ่ายสนับสนุนทักษิณ ปะทะกัน แต่หลังจากนั้น ข้อมูลก็เริ่มปรากฏว่า เป้าหมายที่แท้จริง คือ การล้างระบอบทักษิณ
แต่ความผิดพลาดหลายอย่างก็ทำให้รัฐประหารครั้งนั้น ถูกนิยามว่า เสียของ
เพราะ 1 ปีกว่าๆ ผ่านไป พรรคพลังประชาชน ร่างที่ 2 ของพรรคไทยรักไทย ก็กลับมาชนะเลือกตั้งได้เป็นรัฐบาลอีกครั้ง
