Be amazed by the hive of activities right insdie as you witness kuih being made on the spot . Take your pick from the spread laid on the table freshly prepared from the kitchen. You will find Nyaonay dodol, tarts, dumplings, in a mixed variety of shapes and colours! Most of all, they absolutely taste good! The crowd seems to know what they are looking for alright. Baba Charlie 的娘惹糕，在马六甲几乎无人不知。每日生产约40种娘惹糕，除了自行经营门市生意，也批发在各大酒店。 Baba Charlie 娘惹糕点到做法，承袭自父母，至今已有40年历史。
娘惹传统饮食的特殊风味，为我国的美食增添了绚丽色彩，更是马六甲的一大特色。
我国糕点的起源于娘惹，从此糕点甜品世代相传。成为午茶、餐后或宴会必备的美食。
娘惹糕在制作过程中，把粉沫与液状体及更多材料经过调均后倒入容器中以温火蒸煮，进口时软绵又含嚼劲。
由于糕点体质软绵，切片时要靠功夫，始能把糕点切得轻巧细腻。

Phuket Thailand owes a lot to its its cultural heritage to its ThaiChinese Baba Peranakan (predominantly Hokkien) ancestry way of life, the minor culture once present in the Malay Peninsula. Today, it’s estimated that at least 70% of Phuket’s population has Peranakan ancestral roots.
Several Baba traditions in Phuket have died. Its significance and identity has been dwindled through time. But with the effort of some Phuketians and local tourism units, some of the traditions such as food, costumes, and ceremonies have been brought back to life.
