Thailand is experiencing its worst drought in possibly four decades . About
half of the major reservoirs in the country stand below 50 percent of capacity as Thailand faces water shortage and drought declared in 31 provinces.
Mr. Chawalit Chantararat, Chair man of Executive of TEAM Consulting Engineering and Management PCL., about the severe drought situation in the country and what solutions to tackle this problem in short and long terms.

In north Thailand, the rainy season this year was almost nonexistent. Rain is expected almost every day, usually in the afternoons but this was rare in 2019. Consequently, the dams are at a level now where you expect them to be at the end of winter and the dry season which is around May. Here in my area of Chiang Mai, Doi Saket, the farmers have been told there is not enough water in the dam for a winter rice crop. In the fields next to my house, they have been sinking boreholes and actually found some water in the end. Not everyone is going to be that lucky which will cause problems for the poor farmers who, on the whole, live hand to mouth in years of plentiful rain.
In this video, I visit 2 reservoirs and view their status with the aid of my drone. Also, there are some great views to be had travelling on my motorbike between the 2 locations.
