  1. I bought a refurbished computer not knowing with a RAID configuration ( intel rapid storage technology / Optane ) in the BIOS
I found the RAID when I wanted to configure for dual boot
I hope it helps somebody. If you don't need 'Intel Rapid Storage Technology ( Optane )
    1. Click the Start Button and type cmd
    2. Right-click the result and select Run as administrator
    3. Type this command and press ENTER: bcdedit /set {current} safeboot minimal (ALT: bcdedit /set safeboot minimal)
    4. Restart the computer and enter BIOS Setup
    5. Change the SATA Operation mode to AHCI from either IDE or RAID ( here > use RST Optane )
    6. Save changes and exit Setup and Windows will automatically boot to Safe Mode.
    7. Right-click the Windows Start Menu once more. Choose Command Prompt (Admin).
    8. Type this command and press ENTER: bcdedit /deletevalue {current} safeboot (ALT: bcdedit /deletevalue safeboot)
    9. Reboot once more and Windows will automatically start with AHCI drivers enabled.

  4. It was a good video, but basically nothing worked for me. I downloaded IntelRST to disable the resource, then I had to restart the notebook and suddenly my windows stopped of working. I have an acer aspire 3, with sdd and hd… I created that seppared part of memory disk…

When I openned the BIOS, I didn't find the button to disable the IRST, or nothing like that. The solution I'm trying right now is downloading an Ubuntu's version (18.04.5) witch doesn't have any issue with IRST.

I changed my mind and decided to use only linux as my O.S., so that's going to be easy for me, whereas my BIOS's version (V1.10) doesn't show the opition to disable this system.

  11. Vincent T, thanks for the video. I don't want to dual boot ubuntu with windows 10. However, I want to install Ubuntu 20.04 LTS alone. Would it still be possible to enable optane memory in that case. Also how good support is there for Nvidia GTX graphics drivers?

  12. nice video bro. tks
after the dual boot the optame memory works correctely?
If you only do a partition for the ubuntu and don't separate one for the optame and only disable the optame, would it work?
if the memory do not work on linux why is necessary de 100 mb partition to it?
