การตรวจหาปริมาณแคลเซียมในหลอดเลือดหัวใจ เพื่อทำนายโอกาสเกิดโรคหัวใจขาดเลือด และรับการป้องกันได้ทันท่วงที
CT calcium score คือการตรวจหา แคลเซียมหรือหินปูนที่หัวใจ อาจเกาะอยู่ที่ผนังหลอดเลือด ลิ้นหัวใจ เยื่อหุ้มหัวใจ ที่ควรระวังที่สุดคือ หินปูนที่เกาะผนังหลอดเลือดที่นำไปเลี้ยงกล้ามเนื้อหัวใจ ซึ่งเกิดจากการเสื่อมสภาพของหลอดเลือดแดงและจะเกิดก่อนอาการของโรคหัวใจนานหลายปี ปริมาณแคลเซียมนี้สามารถทำนายโอกาสเกิดโรคหัวจขาดเลือดได้ นอกจากนี้ ผู้ที่มีโรค เบาหวาน ความดันโลหิตสูง ไขมันในเลือดสูง สูบบุหรี่ ก็จะยิ่งเพิ่มความเสี่ยงต่อการเกิด กล้ามเนื้อหัวใจตายเฉียบพลันจากหลอดเลือดอุดตันเฉียบพลัน
ซึ่งโรคหัวใจเป็นสาเหตุการเสียชีวิตอันดับต้นๆของโลก และถือเป็นภัยเงียบเนื่องจากพบว่า บุคคลที่แข็งแรงเช่นนักกีฬาเสียชีวิตระหว่างซ้อม หรือ แข่งจริงบ่อยๆ
ผู้ที่ควรตรวจ คือ
· อายุมากว่า 45 ปีขึ้นไป
· โรค เบาหวาน ความดันโลหิตสูง ไขมันในเลือดสูง
· สูบบุหรี่
ประโยชน์ทีได้จากการตรวจ จะช่วยทำนายการเกิด และการเสียชีวิตจากโรคหัวใจ และยังช่วยในการเลือกการรักษาและหามาตรการป้องกันการเกิดโรคหัวใจได้ด้วย
